Decell to Provide Real-time Traffic Information of the First Express Toll Lane in Israel, "The Fast Lane", Opening Today

TEL AVIV, January 9th, 2011 - Decell Technologies, a global leader in the provision of real-time road traffic information, is proud to announce the provision of accurate traffic information of the first express toll lane in Israel.

"The Fast Lane" was paved as a parallel forth lane to part of "Highway 1", one of the busiest highways in Israel. The lane is approximately 13 kilometers long, connecting from the national airport, "Ben Gurion", to the city of Tel-Aviv. According to Decell's data, this part of the highway is extremely congested every morning, causing a delay of over 30 minutes for drivers during the rush hours. "The Fast Lane" is free of charge to public transportation and private cars with a minimum of four passengers. For private cars with less than four passengers it is a toll lane where the entrance price changes constantly according to its traffic condition.

The ability to provide accurate traffic information of adjacent lanes is applied using a unique technological solution developed by Decell. The main challenge was separating lanes which are not only parallel and close, but also similar in their traffic behavior most of the day. Decell's sophisticated solution provides very high accuracy level to both types of lanes in all traffic conditions, whether if all, parts, or no lanes are congested. This information is now offered to Decell's customers, allowing navigation users, for example, to make a knowledgeable decision whether to choose driving on the fast lane or not.

"We are proud to provide such service to our customers so they can offer time and cost saving benefits to their end-users," said Jonathan Silverberg, CEO of Decell. "The separation of different lanes on the same road for traffic information purposes is not at all trivial and is applicable by our cutting edge technology. Decell is the only company in Israel offering accurate real-time traffic information for these lanes today, the opening day of 'The Fast Lane'," Mr. Silverberg added.
