Garmin Selected Decell's Swift-i traffic® as the Traffic Information Source for its Connected Navigation Systems in Austria and the Czech Republic
TEL AVIV, August 1st, 2010 - Decell Technologies, a global leader in the provision of real-time road traffic information, is proud to announce that swift-i traffic® was selected to be incorporated in the navigation systems of the world leading satellite navigation provider, Garmin.
After a thorough process of testing and evaluation, Garmin concluded that swift-i traffic® is the most accurate and reliable traffic information source available today in Austria and the Czech Republic. The combination of swift-i® premium traffic information together with Garmin's advanced navigation technology, will soon provide all customers with the best navigation service available in these territories. Routing will now be calculated according to real-time traffic conditions, providing the fastest rather than the shortest route. Users will also be able to see events on the roads, such as accidents, road blockages, road works, and more.
Swift-i traffic® is included in Garmin's new nüLink service, enabling quick and wireless transformation of traffic alerts to connected devices. Unlike free RDS-TMC offering in these territories sent by radio waves, nüLink service provides traffic updates using digital technology. Swift-i traffic® will first be available on Garmin's nüvi 1695 and nüvi 1690.
