Public Sector Applications

The public sector has been traditionally one of the first to require traffic information. Whether for emergency services, maintenance, or planning purposes, traffic has been measured by a variety of technologies. These have been always expensive to implement and maintain, bearing heavily on taxpayer-based budgets. For these reasons, using the traditional methods enabled receiving traffic information for only a minor percentage of the road network.

Using Decell’s Autoroute-1 system, command & control centers can get an overall view of the road network with zoom-in and zoom-out of specific high traffic volume areas, emergency and security forces are better equipped to arrive quickly at incidents, and road load management can increase road capacity in peak times. Also, statistics can be easily collected for future planning over long periods of time.
