Decell’s Real-Time Traffic Information Presented on Channel 2 News
TEL AVIV, April 4th 2007 – Decell Technologies, the global leader in the provision of accurate real-time traffic information, cooperated with Channel 2 News in order to bring to its viewers the real-time traffic situation on Israel’s highways starting on Monday evening’s Passover holiday news broadcast.
The evening of the Passover holiday is usually a very busy time on Israel’s roads, while family and friends drive to the traditional Passover dinner. Delays and congestions are the consequence on many of the main roads in the country. Channel 2 News wanted to help commuters by showing the road-traffic situation in real-time in order to allow better trip planning by calculating the correct travel time or by selecting alternative routes. By teaming up with Decell and the cellular operator Pelephone, Channel 2 News was able to graphically demonstrate on screen the real-time traffic condition on the main roads in Israel.
