CE-Traffic Expands its Premium RDS-TMC Service to Slovakia with Garmin as the first Customer
Slovakia, May 28th, 2013 – Following the successful launch in Poland last year, Decell once again is proud to cooperate with CE-Traffic on the introduction of Premium RDS-TMC, now in Slovakia
CE-Traffic Premium RDS-TMC is a service designed for personal and in-car navigation systems. The service delivers high quality real-time traffic information based on Traffic Message Channel (TMC) standard and broadcasted through FM RDS radio. The new service in Slovakia creates the first TMC in the country and is in cooperation with Fun Radio, the leading Slovak radio station.
The traffic information delivered in the service is of the national current traffic flow which is based on a massive amount of floating cars' location data. On top of that the information is enriched with descriptions of road works and traffic restrictions of the Slovak administration highways authorities as well as other sources.
Following a through testing process by Garmin, the company concluded that the new service is indeed in top quality and ready to be implemented in its navigation services.
